SCPA is thrilled to announce we will be running our FREE playschemes again this summer, including a very special, catered scheme for any children who receive free school meals. As always, we will be working to keep everyone safe and well and to bring as much FREE fun to your summer. For our summer timetable, check out our blog or visit our facebook page!
Please note the catered scheme is by referral only.
Our schemes promote independence, creativity and risk taking to nurture children to learn, grow and most of all, have tonnes of fun! SCPA offers FREE play projects both after school and during school holidays. The schemes are drop in and children over the age of 5 are welcome to attend without parents or carers. Children under 5 are also welcome, but must be accompanied by a guardian.
SCPA is Ofsted registered and our play workers receive comprehensive training including health and safety, paediatric first aid, autism and disability awareness. SCPA believes in equal opportunities for all and do our utmost to help all children to play and learn.
These schemes operate Monday to Friday, with morning and afternoon sessions. While parents, carers and guardians are not required to attend schemes, we do encourage them to come along and join the fun! Our schemes always offer a variety of different activities and operate from a number of locations, such as:
All of our schemes are advertised through local schools, with flyers. For live updates on play schemes, please visit our Facebook page.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
We run after school sessions throughout the city, during term times. Like our holiday schemes, these are advertised through schools, via flyers. Sessions run for 2 hours and offer a wide variety of activities for children to choose from, including:
Dress up, drama and role playing
Arts and crafts
And much more!
