WHO WE ARE
Our Roots
We opened our doors for the first time in 1973. SCPA began with a group of parents from the local community and a vision, a vision of creating free, accessible play schemes. We are proud to maintain the grass roots we have come from and continue to operate free play schemes throughout the city of Southampton that are open access, inclusive and community minded. We are a registered, non-profit organisation. Charity number: 266109
ACCESSIBILITY
At SCPA, we believe in every child's right to play. That's why we're proud to support all children with additional or differing needs. We provide training to all of our staff in Autism awareness, as well as offering a variety of accessible activities and play equipment, including sensory play. We also offer pre-session tasters, if you or your child are feeling apprehensive about joining us! Just give us a call to arrange and we will open our scheme to you and your child, before we open for general access, to give you both a chance to get a sense of what we offer and how we work. If you feel there is any other way we can support your child, please ask, and we will do our best to accommodate.
